Return journey from Kuranda either by Skyrail or Kuranda Scenic Railway<br /><br />This day tour offers you two tours in one day. Your day will be split in two parts. 
In the morning you will travel in small group comfort on an exclusive 4WD Rainforest & Waterfall tour and in the afternoon, you will spend 3 hours of free time in Kuranda. From here you will have a choice to return to Cairns on the Skyrail Cableway or on the Kuranda Scenic Train, after which we will transfer you back to your accommodation in Cairns.<br /><br />Your day will begin when one of our knowledgeable and friendly guides collect you from your hotel and we head north to the lower Barron Gorge National Park to visit Surprise Falls. This beautiful waterfall is 243 metres high and set amongst the beautiful lower Barron Gorge.
We then ascend the Lamb Range to the west of Cairns where we stop at the Lake Morris Lookout. From here you will enjoy spectacular views over Cairns city and towards Green Island.
Next we will visit Lake Morris and Copperlode Dam, this is Cairns' water supply and surrounded by World Heritage rainforest-clad mountains, it's a unique and outstanding location to visit. We'll stretch our legs prior to crossing the dam wall where we begin our four-wheel drive journey.
Our exclusive access permit lets us visit areas not open to the public. Our track winds through some of the most amazing rainforest in the region and over mountains of the Great Dividing Range. We'll stop to view ancient King Ferns before stopping at our Clohesy Boardwalk. Your guide will interpret the rainforest surrounds and introduce you to the giant strangler fig tree, which is hundreds of years old.

Our next stop is Kuranda where you will have 3 hours of free time to explore the markets, attractions and have lunch (at your own expense) in one of the many beautiful cafes or restaurants. You have two options for your return to Cairns, either via the Skyrail Cableway gliding over the pristine World Heritage Rainforest, whilst enjoying the breathtaking views. Your Skyrail journey will take you 7.5km metres above the rainforest canopy before descending through the canopy layers into the heart of the forest at Skyrail's two rainforest stations for the ultimate tropical rainforest experience.
Your second return options is via the historic Kuranda Scenic Railway. On this journey you will learn about the rich history and enjoy the beautiful views. This famous railway winds its way past spectacular waterfalls and into the stunning Barron Gorge before finishing in the city of Cairns, from where we will transfer you back to your accommodation.
