This fun and entertaining day out is a great way to explore some of Byron Bay and Northern New South Wales' best beer and spirit producers without worrying about the drive back home.
Visit 2 distilleries and 2 breweries in Northern NSW and the Byron Bay region and enjoy tasting paddles of craft beer and bespoke spirits. The exact destinations will vary with availability, but all the venues are experts at their craft, and each boasts a unique and welcoming atmosphere.
Visit a sustainable micro-distillery at Lord Byron Distillery. Head behind the scenes, enjoy a quick tour of the distilling process and taste their unique craft spirits. Alternatively, the tour will visit Cape Byron Distillery, hidden in a rainforest and famous for Brookies Macadamia Liquor for a taste of local gins and liquors. Meanwhile, Husk Distillery was inspired by the diverse and vibrant rum culture of the Caribbean islands and is now Australia's only boutique sugar plantation and Agricole rum distillery.
Then, expand your taste buds by sampling seasonal flavours with local ingredients that make incredible IPAs, Red Ales, Lagers, Pale Ales, and taproom only releases. The breweries the tour might visit include Stone & Wood Brewery, which was founded in 2008 by three mates and is now one of the largest and oldest craft breweries in the region. Wandana Brewing Co is located in Mullumbimby, and their taproom has excellent views of Mount Chincogan, with live music on Friday, Saturdays, & Sundays. Finally, Earth Beer Company is nestled on an old avocado farm in the picturesque hinterland town of Cudgen, overlooking Mt Warning.
Grab a roadie from the breweries and enjoy good banter with your fun and friendly beer pilots as they drive you around in the party bus from Byron Bay to the small village towns that these venues call home.
If you are a non-beer drinker, then no worries! Some venues will have an option for cider or wine pending which venues the tour visits and can be substituted in place of beer.
