This incredible Big Island Circle Tour takes guests through Big Island's coffee country, visits the world-famous Punalu’u Black Sand Beach, and explores all the beauty of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Rainbow Falls, and Waipio Valley. This tour showcases the Big Island’s best coastline views with all the stops at the must-see locations!
Morning
You'll get picked up from selected west coast hotels in a comfortable Mercedes Benz Sprinter van. The first (very convenient) stop for the day is a premium Kona coffee farm. Not only will you be able to get your morning caffeine hit, but you'll indulge in a delicious catered continental breakfast at this enchanting and historic coffee farm. Sip a coffee as you walk the tropical fruit grounds, or send gifts home to those who couldn’t be here.
Heading further south, enjoy a sugar hit with a stop at Punalu’u Bake Shop. It's the southernmost bakery in the United States! But that’s not the only reason it’s a favourite ... try their delicious Portuguese doughnut (malasada) to find out why they’re a must-visit. Sticking to the same area, the next attraction is the beautiful Punalu’u Black Sand Beach, which is popular with tourists and turtles alike.
Having worked up an appetite, it's time to enjoy a gourmet Hawaiian-style lunch served at Volcano Winery and Tea Farm. This incredible property sits on the slopes of an active volcano. Sample unique wines, local teas or enjoy some hot chocolate. Wine tasting is optional but included with the tour.
Afternoon
After lunch, it's time for another nature experience at Hawaii Volcanos National Park. See the Big Island volcanoes, in this massive park, which is consistently listed as a must-see for visitors. The tour highlights all the park’s best including Chain of Craters Road, natural steam vents and views of the new Halemau’mau Crater.
Crossing all the way to the east side of the island is one of the best waterfalls in Hawaii – Rainbow Falls. Witness them up close and personal, and take in the tropical foliage as it wraps its arms around iconic falls.
Keep travelling north along the Hamakua Coast, with its rocky coastline famous for its lush tropical foliage and spectacular views. Should time allow, we may stop to take in the views at Waipio Valley – “The Valley of the Kings” before making our way back to the west coast, returning you back to your hotel.
