This hike can be organised from either Bhaktapur or Kathmandu. If you choose to go from Kathmandu we wil pick you up by private vehicle at your hotel. If you start in Bhaktapur our guide will meet you at your hotel and from there we will walk down hill to the Arniko Highway. After crossing the Highway we will walk uphill through Suryabinayak till we reach the Ganesh Temple. Here we will take a look and observe the local devotees. From the Ganesh temple we take the stone steps up into the green forests. After a while the stone steps turn into an earthern path and after some more climbing, we reach a nice viewpoint where we will take a short brake to regain our breath and observe Bhaktapur from above. In the surroundings you can also see some brick factories. From here on we go mainly uphill though the forest and sometimes pass thorugh small villages where you can see the locals working on the land. Finally we will reach Ranikot, which is a great vantage point for seeing the snowcapped mountains on clear days. Amidst this beautiful panorma we will enjoy a typical Nepali Lunch. After Lunch we will head back to Bhaktapur through a different path than we took uphill.
