This tour visits North Stradbroke Island, which is 30 kilometres&nbsp;southeast of Brisbane, Queensland. People can access this island&nbsp;by ferry from Cleveland across Moreton Bay. Straddie (as it is affectionately known)&nbsp;is the second-largest sand island in the world. The island is about 38 kilometres&nbsp;long and 11 kilometres&nbsp;wide. &nbsp; 
 
 
 
Straddie has a permanent population of approximately 2500, with three main townships of Dunwich, Amity Point, and Point Lookout. The island&rsquo;s unique, timeless beauty is appreciated by all who live there and visit the island. Aboriginal middens have been found on Straddie that date settlement back as far as 25,000 years ago. The Quandamooka people have a unique cultural heritage that they share through their storytelling, art, and dance performances. &nbsp;

This tour lets you experience the natural beauty of the Island. You will be transported from Brisbane or Gold Coast, across the Vehicle Ferry, which allows the tour&nbsp;private transportation the entire time on the Island. The tour visits the pristine water of Brown Lake, the epic North Gorge Walk, stay at the accommodation on the beach and search for local wildlife and marine life. The tour&nbsp;always sees local koalas, kangaroos, whales and manta rays (in season), turtles, and heaps of dolphins!
