Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area was forged under the sea, then buried beneath sand dunes, and is now a beautiful Desert Masterpiece sculpted by the continuing forces of wind and time. It's a magnificent sight just west of Las Vegas.
This incredible display of Aztec Sandstone is the most studied and famous geographic fault in the world. It is a photographer/sightseer’s dream-come-true with many scheduled stops, including Ancient Indian Petroglyphs, Pictographs and roasting pits, and beautiful Desert Springs. The 3000-ft tall Wilson Cliffs are multicoloured sand dunes turned into sandstone over the millennia and are incredible to see. As the morning sun hits the sides of the cliffs, the colours truly come alive in a beautiful display of natural beauty.
These stunning landscapes might seem familiar because many Western Movies have been filmed here, using Mother Nature as the perfect backdrop.
The region is also full of unique wildlife, and there is a good chance of seeing wild mustangs, wild burros and bighorn sheep on this incredible adventure. In addition, the variety of cacti, yucca and other desert plant life are magnificent.
In addition, you'll also tour through a beautiful and lush 900-year-old Joshua Tree Forest, which surrounds the entire Red Rock Canyon area. The guides are very entertaining, providing you with plenty of information and interpretation of everything surrounding you. Enjoy more time, more stops, more information, more fun & more photo ops on this nature adventure!
