At Cooking Sun, you will learn to cook Japanese home dishes. Sushi and sashimi may be familiar to you, but Japanese eat many other&nbsp;dishes at home and they are just as delicious! We want you to discover them and learn how to cook them while you are visiting Japan.

<h4>Local Japanese ladies who are knowledgeable about Japanese food&nbsp;and are fluent in English. They are all experts of Japanese home cooking and they all love to talk with you about food and many other things.</h4>

<h4>Yes!&nbsp;&nbsp;Please be assured that each of our menu items can be meat-free (except sushi class in Tokyo. We can only do this by using fish).&nbsp;We also have wheat free soy sauce or alcohol-free vinegar.</h4>

Again, no problem.&nbsp;We are fully aware that many people are allergic to gluten. For those customers, we remove&nbsp;wheat, soy sauce, and other gluten-containing ingredients from the menu.

Simple, delicious and traditional, sushi is one of&nbsp;Japan&#39;s most iconic foods. In this cooking class, you&#39;ll learn&nbsp;how to roll and slice it like a pro, as you watch&nbsp;local instructors&nbsp;and learn how to make&nbsp;5&nbsp;different types of sushi roll! You&#39;ll also learn about&nbsp;dashi, traditional soup stock, and types of seasoning such as&nbsp;soy,&nbsp;mirin,&nbsp;sake&nbsp;and&nbsp;miso. 
 
Your class begins with a warming cup of&nbsp;Japanese tea&nbsp;and&nbsp;then it&#39;s time to start cooking. 
 
First, have a go at making&nbsp;rolled egg, Japan&#39;s version of an omelette, that&#39;s fried and then rolled into delicate spirals. You&#39;ll also learn the art of making&nbsp;perfect sushi rice, essential for this Japanese dish.&nbsp;Afterwards, it&#39;s onto the sushi making! Start off with a simple&nbsp;Inari Sushi&nbsp;- sushi rice stuffed in seasoned tofu pouches. Delicious! 
 
Next, it&#39;s time to make a&nbsp;tuna roll&nbsp;- simple&nbsp;and full of flavour! Make sure you&#39;re watching closely so you can try and make it again at home.&nbsp; 
 
Your next dish is a&nbsp;cucumber roll, then the iconic&nbsp;California roll, full of rice, crab, cucumber and avocado.&nbsp;This is like a reverse sushi roll - the seaweed is on the inside and the rice on the outside. Then, try something a little different with&nbsp;Nigiri sushi. Top with a slice of fresh seafood and its ready to&nbsp;eat!&nbsp; 
 
Your final dish is the perfect end to your sushi feast - a delicious salty&nbsp;miso soup.&nbsp; 
 
Throughout the class there&#39;ll be the chance to take photos of your creations, so don&#39;t eat them too quickly! 
 
Class duration is&nbsp;3 hours. Each class starts at&nbsp;1:30 pm&nbsp;until&nbsp;4:30 pm.&nbsp;

Although the suplier&nbsp;normally follows&nbsp;the itinerary that the suppplier&nbsp;describes in this website, in case some ingredients are not available, the may change the content of class at our discretion.

If you complete booking online and you need to cancel later, the supplier implements its&nbsp;cancellation policy as below.

100% refund for more than 8 days from your booked lesson date

&nbsp;50% refund for 4-7 days from your booked lesson date 
&nbsp;25% refund for 1-3 days from your booked lesson date 
&nbsp;Non-refundable for no show-up

2. All Classes and Courses

By booking a class you agree to the following terms and conditions.

The supplier&#39;s classes are hands on and use heat and normal kitchen equipment. The supplier expects its&nbsp;customers to follow the instructions given by &nbsp;its staff. The supplier expects you to take all reasonable caution to get rid of this risk. You agree that the supplier shall be under no liability for loss, injury or damage to you or your property.

Sensible clothing should be worn as the supplier will not be able to compensate for any damage that may be caused in the class.

The supplier cannot change its courses for special dietary requirements if you do not notify before class. If you have them and wish to attend the supplier class, please let the supplier know in advance so it can think of what is best for you

Class bookings &amp; cancellation policy

Although we normally follow the itinerary that we describe in this website, in case some ingredients are not available, we may change the content of class at our discretion.

Bookings are made on a first come, first served basis on receipt of full payment. We accept phone booking only when customers are already visiting Japan and have no other means to book our class. We urge customers to book and complete payment online and seat priorities will be given to those who complete online before class.
